Stretch Clock by Nicholas Baker Turns Almost Any Object Into a Timepiece

A clock is usually defined by its face. But what if telling time wasn’t bound to a frame? Stretch Clock by Nicholas Baker rethinks timekeeping with a simple yet ingenious twist: a large elastic band that transforms almost any object into a clock.

Designed for versatility, Stretch Clock can wrap around found objects such as a book, a slab of marble, even a floating balloon. It instantly turns them into functional timepieces.

The flexible rubber band holds the clock movement securely in place, while the reversible numerical print lets you flip the orientation to suit different application.

Born from Baker’s habit of collecting discarded objects, Stretch Clock is a celebration of resourcefulness. By repurposing what’s already around us, it gives new life to forgotten things—inviting play, experimentation, and a fresh perspective on how we can give form to a clock.

Stretch Clock is a reminder that design doesn’t have to be rigid. Sometimes, all it takes is a strrreeeetttccccchhhh of the imagination.
