“Little red dot” is a term that refers to Singapore. Initially used by other countries with a hint of derogation, this term, however, captures a certain degree of truth about the nation's identity — small and vulnerable.
A total of 98 red dot stickers are used in this project to create the Lion Head symbol designed by Michael Lee.
Each dot, while seemingly unremarkable on its own, makes up a bigger picture that is so symbolically Singapore. Through the gradual formation of the Lion Head symbol on the flag, the individual red dot addresses the (in)significance of the little red dot(s).
